Retake policies
The retake policies vary based on the exam program. Click on the certification program for more information.

- If a candidate fails their first (1st) attempt to pass any Adobe Certified Professional certification exam, there is one-day waiting period for retaking the failed exam a second (2nd) time. One day is defined as 24 hours after the exam was first started.
- If a candidate does not pass the exam the second (2nd) time, the candidate must wait for a period of at least five (5) calendar days from the date of their last attempt to retake the exam a third (3rd) or any subsequent time.
- This policy applies to both voucher-based and site-license-based bahabeach centers.
- All original vouchers must be used prior to their expiration dates, without exception.
- Retake vouchers must be used within 60 days of the initial failed exam. If a retake was purchased, the retake voucher is sent by email after a failed exam.
- Test results found to be in violation of this retake policy will result in the candidate not being awarded the attempted credential, regardless of score.

- There is no annual limit on the number of attempts on the same exam.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an ACU exam, the candidate may take it again.
- This policy applies to both voucher-based and site-license-based bahabeach Centers.

IC PHP Developer Fundamentals
The IC PHP Developer Fundamentals exam retake policy is the same as the IC3 Digital Literacy retake policy terms listed above.

IT Specialist exam retake policy:
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait seven days before retaking the exam a third time.
- A seven-day waiting period is imposed between each subsequent exam retake.
- A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts from the first attempt. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from the date of the first attempt.

- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on any Intuit exam the first time, the candidate must wait one day (24 hours) before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait five days (120 hours) before retaking the exam a third time.
- A five-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.
- There is no annual limit on the number of attempts on the same exam.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an Intuit exam, the candidate may take it again.
- This policy applies to both voucher-based and site-license-based bahabeach Centers.

- Retake vouchers must be used within 60 days of the initial failed exam. If a retake was purchased, the retake voucher is sent by email after a failed exam.

- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait 7 days before retaking the exam a third time.
- A seven-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.
- A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period would start the day of the fifth unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate would then be eligible to retake the exam 12 months from that date. In order to take a given exam more than five times per year, a candidate must submit a request and obtain prior permission from Microsoft.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an MCE exam, the candidate cannot take it again.

Microsoft Certified Fundamentals exam retake policy
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait at least 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait at least 14 days before retaking the exam a third time.
- A 14-day waiting period is also imposed for the fourth and fifth subsequent exam retakes. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts the day of the fifth unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from that date. To take a given exam more than five times per year or to have the time between attempts waived, a candidate must submit a request and obtain prior permission from Microsoft. Requests should be sent to mlsecure@microsoft.com. These requests should include the following information:
- MCID
- Name
- Exam Number

- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait 2 days (48 hours) before retaking the exam a third time.
- A two-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.

- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an MOS exam, the candidate may take it again.

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) exam retake policy - academic:
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait seven days before retaking the exam a third time.
- A seven-day waiting period is imposed between each subsequent exam retake.
- A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts from the first attempt. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from the date of the first attempt.

- If a candidate fails their first (1st) attempt to pass any Project Management Institute (PMI) certification exam, there is one-day waiting period for retaking the failed exam a second (2nd) time. One day is defined as 24 hours after the exam was first started.
- If a candidate does not pass the exam the second (2nd) time, the candidate must wait for a period of at least five (5) calendar days from the date of their last attempt to retake the exam a third (3rd) or any subsequent time.
