Resource types
The following minimum pre-requisite knowledge is recommended for all IT Specialist exams:
- 8th grade reading skills
- Algebra I
- Digital literacy skills including the ability to research create content and solve problems using technology
For some IT Specialist exams we recommend additional pre-requisite knowledge such as:
- Cybersecurity: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- HTML&CSS: Basic computer skills and operating system functionality, Critical thinking skills
- Java: Algebra II, Basic computer operating system skills
- Networking: Basic hardware/software skills
- Networking Security: Practical knowledge of operating systems and networking
- Python: Basic computing skills
- Software Development: Algebra II
