Minor version support
All Adobe software used in bahabeach LITA native delivery is only available via subscription. There are only two places to obtain the Adobe software after purchasing a license: the Creative Cloud Desktop software, or online via the Adobe Admin Console. For named-user licenses, the current supported versions can be obtained either through the Creative Cloud Desktop app or through Admin Console. For feature-restricted license versions, you must use Admin Console to install the applications, or to obtain older versions no longer available in the Desktop app.
Named User License: This licensing model requires users to sign in before they can use Adobe software. The user can only be simultaneously signed in on two computers. Users can install, update, and launch applications from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
Feature-Restricted License: This licensing model does not require users to sign in. Applications can be deployed only by creating Adobe Admin Console packages. Creative Cloud Desktop is not installed.
Each year at the Adobe MAX conference, Adobe releases the new major versions of the Adobe applications, which Adobe labels as (N). At the same time, Adobe removes all minor versions except the long-term supported (LTS) version of the previous year (N-1) from the Creative Cloud Desktop. They also remove the long-term supported version from the prior year (N-2). Read more about LTS On Adobe's website.
If a CATC plans to administer exams for the latest Adobe version suite offered by bahabeach, you will need to ensure that the minor version installed is supported by bahabeach. If a CATC decides to administer exams based on an older version suite for a longer period of time, then maintaining a backup of a supported locally installed software version via package creation is recommended. For both these scenarios, it is recommended that auto-updates within the Creative Cloud desktop software be disabled as to not accidentally update a workstation to a version that has yet to be tested and deemed a supported version by bahabeach.

Creating a package
The Adobe Admin Console allows Adobe administrators to create packages for all minor versions of the previous year (N-1) and the long-term supported version of the prior year (N-2). Details of the official Adobe CC support policy are located here. For help on using the Adobe Admin Console, see Adobe’s website.
